Absolute HEPA Filters Linter Filters, model N, are manufactured by processes that include extremely careful handling of the material. The filter element is produced from high quality pleated glass microfiber, allowing flow speed in the filter medium 100 times greater than the flat filter element. Its filtering area increases particle capture and special cords are inserted between the pleats to maintain an even spacing.
They are manufactured with a self-sustaining element in the shape of a “V” and sealed with a two-component polyurethane compound inside a frame in galvanized sheet metal, aluminium, stainless steel or wood.
Seals can be EPDM, polyurethane and, for high temperature versions, silicone.
The service life of the Model N absolute filter will be extended with the use of an application-specific pre-filter. It is recommended to use a pre-filter three classes below so that the life of the filter is doubled compared to not using a pre-filter.
Filters contaminated with outside air can be disposed of as normal industrial waste in accordance with local regulations. Filters contaminated with bacterial, toxic or radioactive material will be disposed of as hazardous waste and subject to disposal in accordance with local legislation.
